Robert Maki

Robert is a partner at Maki Law with over 15 years of experience in real estate and construction law in Ontario. He acts for owners, property buyers and sellers, contractors and developers on project-driven and transaction-based matters involving real estate and construction, two complementary legal fields.

In his real estate practice, Robert represents clients in residential and commercial purchases, sales, and refinances, with particular experience in single-family homes, pre-construction purchases, and condominium transactions. His construction practice includes lien and trust claims, contract and project advisory work, and enforcement of security and other remedies when disputes arise.

Robert holds a BASc in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo and a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa. He also has substantial work experience related to his professions in the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia, which informs his practical, globally aware approach to client problems.

Known for his straightforward, practical advice and responsiveness, Robert focuses on achieving efficient, commercially sensible outcomes while keeping clients clearly informed at every stage.
